The Absentee Shawnee Tribe, in partnership with the Commissioners and Staff of the Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority, acknowledge and endorse the following as the mission of our organizations:
The Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority exists to serve people in need, primarily Indian people. Service to the Indian Community must always be our first and foremost priority. It is our goal to provide excellence in service by being committed to improving the housing conditions and related social, education, and economic aspects, which affect the overall living conditions of the Indian Community. To accomplish this goal, we must constantly strive to expand and improve housing and related services through dedication, integrity, compassion and responsiveness to all the needs of those we serve.
Mission Statement Goals
To maintain quality in our current Housing Services for those we serve and to explore and expand alternative methods of providing opportunities for homeownership.
To provide on-going up-to-date training for staff, Commissioners and residents which pertains to all aspects of the ASHA operations.
To educate and open the channels of communications and increase the dissemination of information to residents, applicants, Tribal officials and the community at large.
To increase sensitivity, efficiency and uniformity of the administration of the Authority’s operations.
To maintain a professional approach to the pursuit of current technology.
To expand the related social, economic and educational services along with affordable housing programs in an effort to raise the quality of life for those we serve. |
