Maintenance Assistance Program
The ASHA is offering Maintenance Repairs to Homeowners or Homebuyers who are need of minor home repairs, but do not have the physical or financial capabilities to make those repairs.  No cosmetic repairs will be made.  Only repairs pertaining to infrastructure, weatherization, or repairs to bring the home to a decent, safe and sanitary condition will be allowed.

Program Requirements for ASHA tenants:
  • Absentee Shawnee Tribal Member; Absentee Shawnee Descendants; Native American member of a Federally or State recongnized Tribe;(provide copy of CDIB card) 
  • Family Income cannot exceed 80% median income established for family size
  • Require participation in Maintenance Workshop

Program Requirements for private homeowners:

  • Absentee Shawnee Tribal Member; Absentee Shawnee Descendants; Native American member of a Federally or State recongnized tribe;(provide copy of CDIB card) 
  • Family Income cannot exceed 80% median income established for family size
  • Require participation in Maintenance Workshop
  • Lien will be placed on property for 5 years
  • Require copy of Deed
  • Insurance
  • Location
